I never realized... the impact cancer has on one’s life until a few years ago. On May 1st, 2002, my father, John André, was diagnosed with an Oliogodendroglioma, a malignant brain tumor. The surgeon told us he had
6-9 months to live. We were in shock. How could this be?

My dad was 55 years old.
He had a headache.

After battling through two surgeries, six weeks of radiation, and a year of chemotherapy, my father passed away on January 7, 2005. During this time, John taught us all the importance of the circle of family and friends.

This circle continues today. I was given the inspiration to create André’s Allies Cards
of Hope in my father’s honor and memory. His god-daughter, Krista, has provided us
with the simplistic designs and his brother Jerry, has shared his website so that we
can connect with others.

We hope that André’s Allies Cards of Hope are able to provide inspiring words of
love, hope and understanding for those suffering from cancer or other serious illnesses,
and the people who care for them.

Thank you for helping to support the fight against cancer.

Sincerely,

Melissa Ungerman Levy
